Job Description

Job Purpose and Impact

The Food APAC DT&D AI Application developer role is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting AI-powered applications and intelligent automation solutions that enable business value across the region. This role combines software engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI (GenAI) and system integration capabilities to deliver scalable and secure solutions aligned with business priorities.

The role partners closely with business, product, and data teams to convert use cases into technical solutions, drive innovation through the adoption of AI technologies including LLMs, AI agents, machine learning, and enterprise AI platforms.

Key Accountabilities

AI Solution Design & Development

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered applications, machine learning models, GenAI solutions, and AI agents.
  • Build scalable and reusable AI solution architectures that meet enterprise standards for security, performance, and maintainability.
  • Develop prompt engineering frameworks, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, agent orchestration workflows, and LLM-based applications.
  • Apply software engineering best practices to AI-enabled application development.

System Integration

  • Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise applications including SAP, ERP, CRM, data platforms, collaboration platforms, and custom applications.
  • Design and implement APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures to support AI use cases.
  • Collaborate with integration teams to ensure seamless data and process flow across platforms.

AI Operations & Monitoring

  • Monitor model performance, accuracy, reliability and business outcomes in production environments.
  • Support MLOps and LLMOps practices including deployment automation, model versioning, and monitoring.
  • Optimize model performance, infrastructure utilization, and operational costs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related field.
  • 3–8+ years of software development or AI/ML experience.
  • Strong programming skills (Python preferred).
  • Experience with machine learning, deep learning, or GenAI (LLMs).
  • Experience with APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of data engineering and pipelines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Azure / AWS AI services or enterprise AI platforms.
  • Knowledge of MLOps / LLMOps (deployment, monitoring, pipelines)
  • Experience with enterprise integration (SAP, ERP, CRM systems)
  • Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A background in SAP systems and projects will be considered a strong plus for this role, as many key initiatives involve ERP and SAP-related deployments and integrations
