In this role, you'll:

Reporting into the Senior Manager of Infrastructure ( *SCATS), the Application Developer will be responsible for providing support to the team in the design, development, implementation of new or modified operational technology and data products, employing microservices solutions.

*SCATS - The Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System is the world’s leading intelligent transportation system. It utilises advanced technology and innovative software to manage the flow of traffic. The SCATS business is undertaking a fundamental transformation that will place it in an even stronger position, taking advantage of a burgeoning and profitable market.

Duties and responsibilities will include (not limited to):

  • Working within an Agile project team contributing to the designing, building, testing, and supporting of new and existing technology solutions
  • Assisting the development of high quality, robust and secure software solutions that meet business and customer expectations
  • Assisting with on-going software, platform, data and integration analysis
  • Participating in the continuous improvement of products, solutions and processes using DevOps, and Agile practices in a collaborative manner

About You:

For you to be successful within this role you should meet with all, or most of the following criteria:

  • 1-2 years experience gained in a similar role, as described above
  • Completed a technology focused degree, or demonstrated equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to work within a complex operating environment delivering crucial software solutions
  • Capable of working to schedules coordinated across the development team
  • Ability to develop within a mature integration management framework, such as building to a Common Information Model and Common Messaging Model

This is a fixed-term flexible hybrid role up until 30 November 2027 Working from the office on Wednesdays until July, then Wednesday and one other day thereafter. This role will be based from our offices at Pitt Street, Sydney CBD This is a Grade 7, salary range of $121,175.00 - $135,716.00 + super.
