Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Manufacturing IT Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Application Delivery Lead who will support Manufacturing and Quality business operations.

The primary responsibility of this role is to serve as the liaison between Manufacturing and Quality Operations and the Application Delivery program. This role will lead business engagement efforts to understand manufacturing and quality processes, document requirements, and ensure alignment between business needs and IT Application/Architecture design.

Reporting to the IT Applications Delivery Product Owner, the person in this role will support the Manufacturing IT department’s objective to deliver high-quality, scalable MES solutions that enable efficient and compliant quality operations.

This position is based in the Battery Plant, in Liberty, NC. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within a commutable distance of this location.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead business engagement with Manufacturing and Quality Operations stakeholders and subject matter experts, understand day-to-day production workflows.

  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions to capture current and future state workflows

  • Document detailed business requirements, use cases, and functional specifications for Manufacturing and Quality IT Application Modules

  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and user stories

  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and solution architects to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented

  • Validate that application configurations align with documented business needs through functional reviews and UAT support

  • Identify opportunities to standardize and optimize Manufacturing and Quality processes using MES capabilities

  • Support development of application training materials, SOPs, and user guides related to quality processes

  • Communicate application system changes, enhancements, and impacts to Manufacturing and Quality Operations teams

  • Maintain requirements traceability and manage changes throughout the project lifecycle

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and demos

  • Support testing efforts by reviewing test cases and validating end-to-end quality workflows

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of business analysis experience, including at least 3 years supporting manufacturing or quality systems

  • Able to capture application requirements and understand business applications architecture and design.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and quality processes (e.g., defect tracking, non-conformance management, SPC)

  • Experience documenting business processes and application systems functional requirements for enterprise applications

  • Experience working with MES/MOM systems (Siemens OpCenter preferred)

Added bonus if you have

  • Experience in automotive or battery manufacturing environments

  • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement experience

  • Experience using requirements management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
