Job Description

The Application Architect will be part of the development team and is responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies, working primarily with management and technical specialists across functional disciplines. This position supports the application and technical specialists in the multi-system application architecture and have a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and the existing designs of the applications involved and the impact upon each other.

As part of the development team, the Application Architect will be challenged with researching new cutting-edge technologies to provide modern frameworks for applications, and AI solutions as well as enabling newly envisioned business workflows to support our teams across the organization. The candidate will be engaged in a wide variety of work, including but not limited to, platform development, automation, development of AI based solutions, and coaching/mentoring of team members in building and adopting the platforms. This position will include dealing with complex business integrations, eliciting requirements, and working closely with IT partners in implementing secure and high-performance services. The Application Architect will drive the evolution of Encore’s solutions and ensure that internal and external clients' software requirements are met. The Application Architect will report to the VP of Applications Development.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering World-Class Software & Practices

• Provide architectural guidance to the development team.
• Lead technical projects across multiple systems.
• Own the design and implementation of new products, features, and integrations through multiple platforms.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring of application teams developing AI enabled solutions.
• Drive standardization, scalability, and adherence to best practices of development.
• Provides expertise on application architecture design or improvement considering the performance impact of the architecture.
• Evaluate application system needs across multiple systems and develop corresponding application and logical data architectures and standards.
• Analyze existing application integrations documenting current processes and suggesting process improvements.
• Lead the acceleration of embedded AI agents currently available in supported application, and support the identification and implementation of AI powered solutions for our sales force.

Team Collaboration

• Communicate and educate the technical and business communities on current architectures.
• Collaborate with other teams to research new technologies and make recommendations to management on these new technologies at Encore.
• Partner with management, users, and business analysts on product requirements analysis.

Outcomes Driven

• Review/evaluate stories, designs, data, and architecture decisions to ensure the company is building and enabling the business with the right solutions to the problems being addressed.
• Conducts complex impact analysis.

Development Leadership

• Leads initiatives with resources consisting of other functional groups within the IT organization to establish technical strategies and the tactical plans to be positioned for the current and future needs of the business.
• Performs code and design reviews with peers.

Job Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Application Development, Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in development-related field, corporate or consulting environment.
• 6+ years of development experience in .Net Framework/Core, C#, ASP.NET Web API.
• 6+ years of Power Platform development experience
• Ability to take ownership and develop large parts of an application.
• Design, build, and deliver complex features independently, but with a high-level of collaboration and leadership.
• Experience with agile or lean methodologies, and continuous integration/delivery.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as AngularJs, Angular, React.
• Experience with Mobile technologies
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
• Experience with the following is a plus:
• Integration technologies like SSIS or Mulesoft
• Microsoft CRM integrations

Office

Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.

Salary Pay Range: $122,846.00 - $159,700.00

The compensation offered for this role is determined based on the qualifications outlined in the job posting for the specified location. Final compensation is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant work experience, or particular skills and expertise. In addition, some positions may be eligible for other compensation such as potential overtime, bonuses or incentives.
