Application Architect – GEO Server & Azure Migration

We are looking for a Medior Application Architect to support the upgrade and cloud migration of a GEO-server platform. You will work closely with the technical architect and the Atlas product team to migrate the current on-premise GEO-server environment to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and improve the platform's overall performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

• 
  Upgrade and modernize the GEO-server platform
• 
  Support migration from on-premise infrastructure to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• 
  Collaborate with architects and Agile product teams on cloud integration and deployment
• 
  Optimize GEO-server performance, scalability, and stability
• 
  Contribute to REST API integrations and microservices architecture
• 
  Support CI/CD processes and deployment activities using Azure DevOps
• 
  Ensure documentation, quality standards, and best practices are followed

Requirements

• 
  Experience as an Application Architect or similar technical role
• 
  Strong knowledge of GIS platforms and GIS data types
• 
  Experience with Azure, Azure DevOps, Docker, and AKS is a plus
• 
  Knowledge of microservices and RESTful APIs
• 
  Experience with MS SQL Server and Git
• 
  Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• 
  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Languages

• 
  Dutch: Native or bilingual proficiency
• 
  English: Professional working proficiency

  Hybrid role based in Aartselaar
