Ensure you review the qualifications for the role prior to applying*** POSITION SUMMARY:Professional work that assists in the planning, analysis and implementation of information technology systems.EXAMPLES OF PROFESSIONAL WORK:Gathers data, assists in identifying and analyzing current operational processes and systems.Consults with users to map current operating procedures and clarify application objectives.Establishes decision matrix and procedures for system job flow, database restoration.Assists in coordinating basic workarounds and recoveries.Participates in installing and testing hardware and software and evaluating suitability and compatibility.Assists in coordinating the programs, products, job flows, implementation of subsystems and databases.Assists in monitoring production systems/databases/initiates aversion, correction and restoration actions.Participates in monitoring the accuracy, completeness, clarity, accessibility and timeliness of project and user documentation.Assists in resolving operating problems, providing technical assistance and training to users in application enhancements and upgrades.Supports the promulgation of established technical and procedural standards.Assists in disaster recovery testing.Solves routine and recurring problems and identifies and suggests solutions to more complex problems.Participates in ongoing training to continuously upgrade technical knowledge and skills.Performs other job-related tasks as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

OPEN REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Development/ Engineering or similar degree that requires the successful completion of 12 credit hours in software development / programming in at least two programming languages.ORFour (4) year combination of education, training and experience in at least two programming languages.Note: Applicants that are actively enrolled in and attending college and are within their final year of their degree program will be deemed eligible, allowed to test/interview for the position and if successful will be placed on the eligibility list. Successful completion of the degree must be presented prior to hire date.****REQUIRED TO ASSIST IN MAINTAINING 24 X 7 SYSTEMS AVAILABILITY.****A valid driver’s license is required prior to employment and must be maintained during employment in this classification.LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:Certification, Registration and/or Training specific to the job may be required during employment. The minimum salary for this position is $59,696.00 annually. Compensation will be determined based on education, licenses, certifications, skills, experience, and alignment with salaries for similar roles within the organization. The starting salary for professional positions will be determined based on education, licenses, certifications, skills, experience, and alignment with salaries for similar roles within the organization. The starting hourly rate for positions with a pay step plan will be Step 1 of the corresponding union contract.
