We are seeking an experienced Windows Application Administrator Lead to provide technical leadership for enterprise application administration on a federal government IT program. You will oversee Windows Server-hosted applications, mentor team members, drive STIG compliance, and serve as the primary technical escalation point for Windows environment issues.

Key Responsibilities

●Lead technical operations for enterprise Windows application administration in a federal IT environment

●Mentor and guide junior application administrators on Windows platforms

●Oversee application deployment, patching, monitoring, and incident response on Windows Server environments

●Maintain STIG configurations and drive cybersecurity compliance across all Windows-hosted systems

●Coordinate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and development teams to sustain application environments

●Develop and maintain SOPs, network diagrams, and technical documentation

●Lead disaster recovery testing and technology refresh planning for Windows-hosted applications

●Serve as primary technical escalation point for Windows environment issues

Required Qualifications

●U.S. Citizenship required

●DoD Security clearance or Active Secretand/or ability to obtain;

●Bachelor's degree OR current Microsoft certification (Azure Administrator Associate or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator)

●Minimum 7 years of Windows Server and application administration with 2+ years in a lead role

●Strong experience with Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory, and enterprise application management

●Familiarity with security hardening, STIG compliance, and patch management practices

Preferred Qualifications

●Experience with web/application servers (Apache, Tomcat) in Windows environments

●Familiarity with Splunk or similar SIEM platforms

●Cloud-hosted application environment experience (OCI, Azure, or AWS)

●Background in federal IT with DoD security compliance responsibilities

Certifications

●Microsoft certification preferred (Azure Administrator or Windows Server Hybrid)

●Security+ or DoD 8570 baseline a plus
