The Power Workers’ Union Hiring Hall requires individuals to work as Buyer Analyst I through the PWU Hiring Hall. The PWU supplies casual resources to Bruce Power to support their work programs.

Job Title: Buyer Analyst I
Location: Tiverton, ON
Status: PWU Hiring Hall, 40-hour work week

Shiftwork: Potential for shiftwork

  • Buyers purchase a specialized range of products and services from a number of local, national and international vendors. Buyers negotiate contract conditions, perform complex evaluations, claims and adjustments.

  • Buyers maintain the Nuclear Materials Master Catalogue and Catalogue Templates. Are responsible for materials inventories of assigned categories utilizing the Materials Management Module of the computerized system. Ensure equipment and materials availability meets the end user requirements. Optimize inventory levels to reduce the total life cycle costs of equipment and materials. Liaison with outage teams and Integrated Planning Group (IPG), coordinating their requirements within the Materials Management organization.

To meet the challenges of this dynamic opportunity, you must have:

  • Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent)

  • Two-year college diploma in program such as Business Purchasing (or equivalent)

  • Six years’ experience in Purchasing/Inventory role

  • PMAC, APICS or SCMP would be an asset
