Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The PICU-NICU APP supervisor manages 27 APPs in our very complex PICU, Pediatric CT ICU, and Neonatal Intensive Care units. This person is responsible for all the performance evaluations, staffing, payroll, behavioral and clinical issues, as well as works on quality improvement opportunities for these teams. This applicant also works clinically to maintain their clinical knowledge and maintain competency in their specialty.

Salary range: $144,400- $341,800/annually


Job Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Master's Degree or higher in an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a specialty in Pediatrics, Acute Care - Required
  • CA NP, NPF, and CA RN license - Required
  • NPI #, DEA # - Required
  • Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES- Required
  • National Certification in Nurse Practitioner Specialty as an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner- Required
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - Required
  • PALS certification from American Heart Association -Required
  • 5 years PICU, NICU, and/or Pediatric CT ICU NP experience -Required
  • 3 years experience as APP Supervisor- preferred
