This role is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract
The Airport Operations Centre (APOC) is currently recruiting for a panel for their Live Operations Team Members. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to staff to join the team and assist in delivering exceptional operational delivery. The APOC team have a diverse skill set which contributes to a broader knowledge of Airport Operations within APOC. The Team Member(s) is responsible for monitoring the flow of operations throughout the Airport Campus. The Team Member(s) help co-ordinate in the live operation with various teams within operations. They support the operations teams to deliver a unified level of service throughout the airport for all airport users. They use various airport systems to monitor and co-ordinate live operations through Key Performance Indicators (KPI) measurements. Communication with our stakeholders is a key task as an APOC Team Member and comes in many forms digitally, as well as spoken. The APOC Live Operations Team Member will report to the APOC Team Lead on a shift basis.
The principal responsibilities of the APOC team member include:
- Coordinate as a central point of contact for airport operational matters, e.g., Bussing operation coordination, Swing gate operation and other necessary operational processes
- Contractor on-site management Maintenance request management
- Control access into the T1 and T2 service yards taking necessary actions or escalations when required to ensure authorised access only
- Operational communication with stakeholders (internal & external), both inbound and outbound on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
- H&S monitoring and logging through use of CCTV and recording and reporting of all incidents across the airport terminals.
- CCTV operation and Life Safety System monitoring, coordination of first responders to all incidents across the operation including fire alarm activations and evacuation procedures.
- Compile reports and take minutes of meetings where necessary and act as administrator in the event of business continuity incidences.
- Customer Relationship Management, handling inbound queries (phone, email) to the APOC from internal and external stakeholders and customers
- Contribute to the planning of the daily Airport Operations Plan and update as necessary
- Provide administrative support to the ADM in responding to operational challenges including Business Continuity, Emergency Operations, Winter Operations, and off-plan events.
- Managing requests and escalating key issues to responsible persons (as required)
- Other responsibilities will include supporting the front-line operation as and when required, aiding as required in any emergencies or emergency exercises, supporting in stakeholder relationships and communications and other tasks as operationally required.
- Knowledge of Airport Operations desirable but not essential.
- Previous control centre experience is an advantage, but not essential.
- Contribute to the planning of the daily Airport Operations Plan and update, as necessary.
- Multi-task and prioritise work as required.
- Clear spoken and written communication in a professional manner.
- Provide administrative support to the ADM in responding to operational challenges including business Continuity, Emergency Operations, Winter Operations, and off-plan events.
- Managing requests and escalating key issues to responsible persons (as required).
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Good administration skills with experience of report writing.
- Data driven decision making with good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and build good relationships.
- Microsoft Office experience desirable.
