API Lead JD

• Hands on experience in creating and configuring mock APIs using SoapUI.
• Design and implement end to end performance testing solutions, including capacity planning, workload modeling, and observability dashboard setup.
• Develop and maintain custom JMeter scripts for API performance testing with reusable and scalable framework design.
• Perform advanced performance diagnostics including memory analysis, heap dump analysis, thread dump analysis, memory profiling, and CPU profiling.
• Conduct root cause analysis of performance bottlenecks using Kibana, Kubernetes, and application monitoring tools.
• Lead API automation testing initiatives using parameterization, dynamic assertions, correlation, and reporting mechanisms.
• Integrate performance and automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions).
• Analyze system performance metrics including response time, throughput, latency, and resource utilization.
• Define performance SLAs, benchmarking standards, and non functional requirements (NFRs).
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and Architecture teams to identify and mitigate scalability risks.
• Provide performance tuning recommendations at application, JVM, database, and infrastructure levels.
• Review and validate API contracts (Swagger/OpenAPI) and ensure test coverage alignment.
• Mentor QA engineers and lead technical reviews for API and performance testing practices.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 52,000

Maximum Compensation: USD 182,000

Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
