Job Overview

Level Up Talent Solutions is seeking an API Development Specialist to design, build, and maintain API integrations across multiple business systems and platforms.

This role focuses on enabling seamless data exchange between systems such as CRM, analytics tools, e-commerce platforms, and internal applications. The ideal candidate has strong backend development experience and understands how to build secure, scalable, and reliable API connections.

You will play a critical role in ensuring systems are properly integrated, data flows efficiently, and platforms communicate without disruption.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services

• 
  Build and support system-to-system data exchange between platforms

• 
  Integrate third-party tools (CRM, BI tools, SaaS platforms, etc.)

• 
  Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and properly documented

• 
  Troubleshoot and resolve API errors, failures, and performance issues

• 
  Collaborate with internal teams to define integration requirements

• 
  Maintain version control and update existing API endpoints as needed

• 
  Monitor API performance and optimize where necessary

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

• 
  Strong experience in API development and backend integration work

• 
  Proficiency in backend programming languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP, or similar)

• 
  Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles and JSON structures

• 
  Experience with authentication methods (OAuth, API keys, tokens, etc.)

• 
  Strong debugging and system troubleshooting skills

• 
  Experience working with multiple system integrations simultaneously

• 
  Ability to work independently and deliver production-ready solutions

Nice to Have

• 
  Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)

• 
  Familiarity with webhook-based integrations

• 
  Experience with microservices architecture

• 
  Exposure to ETL pipelines or data integration workflows

• 
  Experience integrating CRM, eCommerce, or analytics platforms

• 
  Knowledge of API documentation tools (Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI)
