Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Representative to support the upkeep and repair of our residential communities. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with general handyman or trade experience who takes pride in maintaining safe, clean, and functional living environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance in apartment units and common areas
• Complete drywall repairs, patching, and touch-up painting as needed
• Conduct basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general handyman repairs
• Maintain common areas, including hallways, amenities, and exterior spaces
• Perform light groundskeeping, such as trash pickup, minor landscaping upkeep, and maintaining complex appeal
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• Inspect units and identify maintenance or safety issues
• Communicate clearly with property management regarding repairs and materials needed
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company policies
Requirements:
• Valid Tennessee driver’s license
• Reliable transportation to and from work and job sites including ability to rotate between Smyrna and Shelbyville locations as needed (primarily in Smyrna)
• Previous handyman or trade experience (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
• Residential or apartment maintenance experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform drywall touch-ups and general maintenance tasks
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance requests
