Job role Apache CloudStack Administrator

Experience: 3+ Years

We are seeking Apache CloudStack Administrator to join our growing technical team. As a key member of our infrastructure team. The role will involve working on customer implementations, research projects, Q&A and customer support.

Responsibilities:

  • Good University degree in an IT related subject
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Experience in deploying, supporting or managing clouds based on Apache CloudStack
  • Experience in contributing to (or working within) an open source project (ideally the Apache Cloud Stack project)
  • Experience in system administrator with focus on cloud computing
  • Experience in Linux/Windows system administration.
  • Experience working with one or more hypervisor technologies such VMWare, KVM.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts including VLANs, IP addressing, and routing.
  • Familiarity with storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and object storage.
  • Knowledge of Java, Tomcat, Spring, Maven and Jenkins is an advantage
  • Experience in debugging and resolving production issues
  • Experience in support participation, on-call schedules and using tools
  • Good Knowledge in security measures to protect cloud infrastructure and data.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Good knowledge in infrastructure hardware (Compute / storage / switches).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a system administrator or engineer with focus on cloud computing.
  • Certification in Apache CloudStack or related technologies.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
