** This position will be under the Employee Referral Program in Hong Kong.

The APAC Technology, Media, Telecommunications (TMT) Coverage team oversees developing major clients of CACIB in the sector, with the objective of onboarding new TMT clients and originating transactions involving different product lines of the bank. We are seeking a seasoned senior banker with extensive experience in origination and execution of transactions in TMT sector. The candidate will be responsible for building and monetizing C-suite relationships with corporates and founders – driving revenue across ITB, GMD, and GFD.

Key responsibilities

1. Origination & Business Development (Primary Focus)

• Proactively identify, originate, and execute TMT banking opportunities such as transactional banking, leveraged finance, FX and structured solutions…across APAC.
• Develop a coverage strategy targeting high-growth subsectors: AI, SaaS, Digital Media, Telecom infrastructure, and Data Centers.
• Own the entire BD lifecycle: prospecting, mandating, negotiating, and closing.

2. Client Coverage & Relationship Management

• Leverage existing relationships with C-level executives, private equity sponsors, and founders in key markets (Greater China, North Asia, Southeast Asia, India, Australia).
• Serve as the trusted strategic advisor to clients on capital structure, treasury management, and market entry/exit strategies.
• Lead client pitches and complex marketing materials alongside product partners of GMD, GFD and ITB

3. Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor junior bankers and associates on origination and client management.
• Partner closely with product, risk, and legal teams to ensure seamless execution of mandates.

4. Market Strategy & Insights

• Monitor regulatory, competitive, and valuation trends impacting APAC TMT.
• Drive internal idea generation and sector thematic content for external distribution.

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced finance degree preferred

15+ years of Corp & Investment banking experience, with at least 7 years focused on TMT in APAC

• Proven track record of originating and closing significant TMT transactions in the region
• Deep existing network of APAC TMT decision-makers (corporate treasurers, CEOs, CFOs, regional PE/M&A heads)
• Strong product acumen in at least two of: Leveraged Finance, Structured Finance, Transactional Banking (cash/trade)
