Job title: APAC Supply Chain Director

Department & Location: Supply Chain & Operations, Guangzhou

Report to: AVP International Supply Chain

This role will manage and direct the APAC Operations team to ensure the timely supply into the APAC region to support the business growth of the region with most effective cost, best quality and comply with relevant regulatory via collaboration with internal and external partners. It will also identify & manage contract manufacturers in the region as directed by the company.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Operations & Supply Chain functions and creating appropriate goals for this team to support the APAC regional and company commercial objectives. Ensure these are cascaded and understood with regular feedback to staff.
  • Work collaboratively with R&D, Quality, Regulatory and other functions as necessary to support new product launches and the business goals for China & APAC.
  • Work to identify appropriate contract manufacturers for the product portfolio and new products, ensuring competitive bidding of products, new product launches, productivity projects, manufacturing and operational optimization and develop long-term partnerships.
  • Ensure company processes and policies are adhered to in the selection, set-up and management of contract manufacturers.
  • Enhance relationship, improve processes and reduces risks with other regional manufacturing partners.
  • Drive great customer service as measured by OTIF to customers.
  • Deliver Good to Great program to support gross margin improvement
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained and that all goods are produced in compliance with appropriate related standards.
  • Review capital spend requirements, propose, develop and submit Capex proposals to improve company profitability & capacity.
  • Utilize outstanding communication skills to motivate key stakeholders and staffs and develop effective cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in supply chain management, including 8+ years in people management roles.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performance teams.
  • Solid understanding of financial management and local regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working in multinational environments, with strong cross-cultural awareness and the ability to operate effectively across the APAC region; willingness to travel as required.
  • Experience in plant or manufacturing site management is preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to assess complex issues and develop practical, implementable solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and driving change management initiatives.
  • Strong influencing skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrates high integrity and strong business ethics.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Bachelor’s degree or above; MBA is preferred.
