We are seeking a talented communications professional to design and deliver integrated internal and external communications for Global Investment Banking in Asia Pacific (APAC). In this role, you will drive high‑impact initiatives that advance our regional Investment Banking media strategy and elevate internal and executive communications.
As a Vice President within the APAC Investment Banking Communications team, you will develop and execute comprehensive communications plans aligned to our banking strategy and business objectives, supporting Investment Banking communications across the region.
Job responsibilities
- Driving media strategies for Global Investment Banking Asia Pacific and delivering impactful coverage across priority press publications.
- Handling media enquiries related to investment banking, including deal-related enquiries, in close coordination with senior stakeholders and relevant business partners.
- Conceptualizing, developing, and executing communications strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives for both internal and external audiences.
- Developing and writing high-quality, compelling content, including thought leadership, press briefings, internal articles, announcements, and executive speeches, for a broad range of channels, including events and social media.
- Managing multiple stakeholders, with the ability to partner effectively within a regional team and across the business.
- Providing sound advice and guidance to senior executives and stakeholders on communications-related matters.
- Supporting issue management.
- Developing and delivering clear, concise, audience-first communications through periods of rapid change.
- Managing content approval processes to mitigate risk and support operational standards.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in communications.
- Media relations experience with a track record of securing coverage in priority publications, or relevant journalism experience covering the financial industry.
- Strategic mindset in topic selection and story pitching, aligned with client needs, business priorities, and franchise requirements.
- Strong understanding of channels and platforms to deliver content effectively to targeted internal and external audiences.
- Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and handle sensitive and confidential matters and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple assignments and tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Collaborative team player who contributes at both strategic and tactical levels.
