Team Introduction:
The APAC Accounting and Reporting team at ByteDance is responsible for the core financial accounting activities of the Group's entities across the region. The team establishes regional accounting processes for multiple business lines, provides financial guidance, and partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. Key responsibilities include the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as financial analysis and reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements across the APAC region.
We are looking for an APAC Accounting Lead based in Singapore to support the accounting and financial reporting activities of the Group's APAC entities. This role will have a strong focus on the revenue and receivables close process, month-end and quarter-end financial reporting, statutory compliance, and audit coordination across regional entities. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional Finance teams, including Tax, Treasury, and FSSC, to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement across the region. This is a full-time onsite role based in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of the Group's APAC entities, including but not limited to entities in Singapore, with a focus on the month-end and quarter-end close processes for e-commerce entities.
- Post journal entries to ensure smooth monthly and quarterly closings.
- Prepare trial balances and financial statements accurately and on time.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and related tasks.
- Liaise with external auditors during annual financial audits and statutory reporting for assigned entities; manage the full audit cycle to ensure all reporting deadlines are met.
- Prepare financial data to support the tax team in completing tax submissions and assist in tax inspections, if any.
- Prepare financial data required for government declarations and other statutory filings.
- Provide financial data and analysis according to the business needs of other departments.
- Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, Financial Shared Service Centre ("FSSC"), and other Finance teams to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Support ad-hoc projects, including system enhancements and process improvements.
