Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our Orthopedic Team on a Per-Diem basis.
The Physician Assistant will support the surgeons in the operating room as well as hospital rounding and ambulatory clinic visits. The Physician Assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for comprehensive care, post-operative care and education to patients and their families from surgery to outpatient follow-up visits. This position would provide direct assistance to surgeons during their procedures and needs to embody the care and compassion delivered by the team. The entire team will work collaboratively to ensure optimal quality, experience and efficiency.

Candidate must be able to multitask and be flexible in learning and handling a variety of duties. Travel required to both Stoughton & Madison clinic locations.

Position Requirements:

• Required Education: Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
• Preferred Education: Master's Degree
• Professional Experience: Requires two years of relevant experience
• Licensure: Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin
• Certification: Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants as a Physician Assistant. Current certification with the Drug Enforcement Administration. Current BLS certification at hire or within 90 days of hire.
• Basic computer competency skills are expected for this position
• Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills – Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, and write a letter.

Work Shift:

• Per-Diem, .01 FTE
• Minimum of 2 shifts per month
• *8-24 hours per week during the time of June 15 – September 30*
