StandardAero Augusta is a Business Aviation MRO that has been operating at Augusta Regional Airport for over 50 years. This A&P Mechanic will serve on our 2nd Shift, Engine R&R Team, dedicated to removing and replacing engines before and after off-wing maintenance. Additionally, in this role you will be performing on-wing light maintenance, such as swapping gear boxes and removing LPT modules.

What You’ll Do:

  • Uses hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges, and engine calibration test equipment.
  • Monitor progressive sign-offs to ensure all tasks are completed satisfactorily.
  • Remove and reinstall engines on turbofan aircraft.
  • Perform engine runs and operational checks to ensure airworthiness prior to departure.
  • Inspect aircraft in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance manuals.
  • Assess removed components for serviceability and document any discrepancies (squawks), then reinstall and test after inspection.
  • Accurately document all completed work (sign-offs) in a clear and concise manner.
  • Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as required.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams when needed.
  • Analyze mechanical issues, determine causes, and identify the best repair methods.
  • Test, repair and adjust engines, engine controls, landing gear, hydraulic systems, and flight controls.
  • Repair and inspect fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling, and pressurization systems.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of engine R&R experience as an Aircraft Mechanic.
  • Must have on-wing engine maintenance experience.
  • Must have a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Experience working with Honeywell engines and APUs
  • Engine Run & Taxi certifications on Gulfstream, Hawker, Embraer, Challenger, and/or Falcon aircraft.
  • Business / Corporate Aviation MRO experience
  • Ability to efficiently communicate with individuals at various levels of technical proficiency.
