Job Description

Our client is seeking a hands-on AP Lead / Senior AP Specialist to step in immediately and support daily accounts payable operations This is an execution-focused role (not supervisory), ensuring continuity during a transition period.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Execute day-to-day AP operations (invoice processing, payments, vendor management)
  • Handle invoice discrepancies, reconciliations, and issue resolution
  • Support vendor onboarding, W-9 collection, and maintenance
  • Process payment runs and ensure accuracy across transactions
  • Manage T&E (travel & expense) processing and compliance
  • Support month-end close activities (accruals, reconciliations, reporting)
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve statement variances
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and GAAP standards
  • Assist with process improvements and workflow efficiency
  • Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and operational teams

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Accounts Payable experience in automated environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with AP operations and full pay cycle
  • JD Edwards experience (high priority)
  • Experience with SAP or NetSuite (nice to have)
  • Experience with Concur / T&E systems (nice to have)
  • Strong understanding of reconciliations, accruals, and GL coding
  • Ability to step in quickly and operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
