Purpose of the Job
The accountant is responsible for managing China entities accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and experience with accounts payable processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Invoice Processing:
• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure invoices are properly coded, approved, and matched with purchase orders (if applicable).
• Resolve discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents.
2. Payment Processing:
• Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements.
• Maintain accurate records of payments and transactions.
3. Vendor Management:
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Respond to inquiries regarding payments and invoices.
• Manage supplier and employee master file within SAP.
4. Expense Reporting:
• Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies.
• Verify receipts and ensure proper documentation for reimbursement.
5. Month-End Closing:
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze accounts payable aging reports.
6. Compliance and Recordkeeping:
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of all account payable transactions.
• Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
7. Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes and improve efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• At least 2+ years of experience in accounts payable.
• Fluent English Speaking.
• Familiar with SAP.
• Strong communication skills, Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
