We are seeking an In-Office, Pune based, Business Analyst to join our Legal and Compliance Technology Team in Global Technology & Operations.

Team/Group Description

Legal and Compliance Technology provides project management, business analysis, software development, systems administration and production support to the Legal & Compliance, Audit, and Risk departments. Compliance and Legal Technology provides global support for internally developed applications and websites, internally hosted third-party applications, and externally hosted solutions. Examples of the applications supported include Anti-Money Laundering and Customer Screening, Trade Surveillance, Compliance Management, Audit Management, Error and Incident Tracking (Risk), Vendor Management, MFN Machine, Compliance Review Tracker, Daily Restricted List, Compliance Video Training, Electronic Communication Governance, Personal Trade Surveillance and Document Management System.

Role Description

The Business Analyst is a key role for our firm providing business analysis and product management services specifically for our Anti-Money-Laundering (Oracle’s OFSAA Transaction Monitoring and Customer Screening), Trade Surveillance (ACA ComplianceAlpha), Compliance Task Management (ACA ComplianceAlpha), Employee Trade Compliance (StarCompliance). The Candidate will be responsible for collecting and documenting business requirements, working with internal development teams, managing product and project lifecycles, managing relevant technology vendor relationships, and will serve as the subject matter expert for all applications he/she is responsible for. This Candidate will work closely with business users across Compliance and the firm, and will interact with internal Technology teams to implement, enhance, and maintain systems and processes.

Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Serve as a Business Analyst / Product Owner for Legal and Compliance focused on AML, Trade Surveillance, Compliance Task Management and Employee Trade Compliance.
• Partner w/ senior stakeholders across business, IT, data & quality assurance teams to define enterprise technology solutions & workflow strategy.
• Coordinating and managing offshore teams to provide timely updates and deliverables to global business stakeholders.
• Conduct business analysis by analyzing complex problems & designing system solutions.
• Capture business requirements & translate them into IT & system specifications.
• Improve business processes using tools including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Co-Pilot, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, SQL Database, and other AI Tools.
• Research, plan and execute projects including acquisition, upgrading and maintenance of software and services. The scope of the projects could include both the development of new software and significant enhancements/changes to existing software.
• Manage third party vendor system implementations as well as in-house systems and ensure timely and effective project delivery.
• Track all ongoing projects and communicate their status in a timely manner to stakeholders.
• Develop and manage centralized plan for deliveries based on the business’ need.
• Identify and actively manage risks. Ensure the appropriate technology controls are in place.
• Vendor management of vendor applications. This includes managing the relationship, service level agreements and total cost of ownership.
• Provide technical support, consulting, training and problem-solving to business users.
• Establish and document operational and troubleshooting procedures for use by local technical support personnel.
• Monitor system performance to ensure system availability and functionality.

Job Qualifications (The ideal candidate should have the following)

Qualifications, Experience, Education

• Minimum 5 years of Business Analysis and Project/Product Management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related area.
• 3 years of focus in Financial Services Compliance related technology.
• 3 years of Financial Industry experience.
• Experience working with AML technology required.
• Experience working with Trade Surveillance technology preferred.
• Experience managing offshore and global teams.
• Communication: Speak and write English clearly. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and influencing skills. Strong history of partnership with global business stakeholders. Client focused with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.

Working Hours - 3 PM IST - 11 PM IST (Some flexibility in working hours will be required to support stakeholders across different time zone)
