The Role

Looking to step into a high-impact regional tax leadership role where your expertise shapes strategy, drives compliance and delivers real commercial value?

We’re seeking an experienced and technically strong Tax Manager – ANZ to support the Tax Lead in overseeing the tax affairs across the ANZ region. Based in Melbourne, this is a pivotal role managing tax risk, ensuring compliance, and partnering with the business to optimise outcomes in an evolving global tax landscape.

Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure full compliance with local and international tax regulations across the ANZ region
  • Provide trusted tax advisory support to business stakeholders on products, restructuring, legal entity reviews and ETR optimisation initiatives
  • Lead coordination of the annual R&D tax incentive claim process, working closely with external advisors and internal project teams
  • Oversee quarterly management service fee allocations to global subsidiaries and branches
  • Manage and mitigate group tax risk in accordance with policy frameworks
  • Support the migration of ERP tax processes and controls into SAP, embedding enhanced tax governance where required
  • Lead and manage tax audits across the ANZ region
  • Prepare consolidated tax effect accounting calculations and statutory disclosures

About You

You’re a commercially astute tax professional with strong technical depth and the confidence to influence stakeholders across the business.

You have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Economics or related discipline
  • CA or CPA qualified (preferred)
  • Background in a corporate environment or international accounting firm within a corporate tax function
  • Deep experience in complex corporate tax, VAT and transfer pricing matters
  • Strong knowledge of CFC rules, tax consolidation and foreign tax offsets
  • Proven experience implementing Pillar Two regulations in ANZ
  • Demonstrated success leading tax audits
  • Track record of delivering ETR savings
  • Strong capability in tax effect accounting and statutory reporting
  • Exceptional tax technical analysis
  • Advanced financial and tax reporting capability
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • High-level Excel proficiency and strong MS Office capability
