Key Job Responsibilities:

Automation Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, and automation frameworks.
  • Develop reusable automation components following software development best practices.
  • Build automation solutions for:
    • Network provisioning
    • Configuration deployment
    • Configuration backup
    • OS upgrades
    • Compliance validation
    • Health checks
  • Create self-service automation workflows for operational teams.

API & Integration Development

  • Develop REST API integrations with network and infrastructure platforms.
  • Integrate automation with:
    • Network Platforms – Cisco, Huawei, Fortigate, Palo Alto, F5, Infoblox
    • SolarWinds
    • ITSM – HP Service Manager
    • CyberArk
    • Forward Network
  • Build automated workflows triggered by ITSM or monitoring platforms.

Automation Platform Engineering

  • Manage and support:
    • Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
    • Ansible Tower
  • Configure inventories, credentials, job templates, execution environments, and automation controllers.
  • Improve automation governance, RBAC, and operational standards.

CI/CD & Software Engineering

  • Implement DevOps and NetDevOps practices.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines for automation code deployment.
  • Maintain source code repositories and branching strategies.
  • Perform code reviews and maintain code quality standards.
  • Create automated testing and validation frameworks.

Compliance & Governance

  • Support network compliance monitoring and automated validation.
  • Develop automated audit and reporting capabilities.
  • Ensure automation solutions comply with security and operational policies.
  • Maintain technical documentation, standards, and automation governance.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

  • Develop technical documentation and coding standards.
  • Maintain automation libraries and repositories.

AIOps & Observability

  • Support implementation of AIOps capabilities within the network operations environment.
  • Integrate operational telemetry and monitoring data into observability platforms.
  • Assist in event correlation and incident analysis initiatives.
  • Develop automation workflows triggered by monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Contribute to predictive capacity planning and performance analytics initiatives.

Operational Analytics

  • Build dashboards and reports to provide operational insights.
  • Analyze network performance trends and recurring incidents.
  • Support the adoption of data-driven operational practices.
  • Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams on operational intelligence initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in:
    • Computer Science
    • Information Technology
    • Related disciplines

Required Experience

Preferred

  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining Ansible-based automation solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Proven track record in designing, developing, and implementing automation workflows for infrastructure, network, or operational processes.
  • Hands-on experience administering and supporting Ansible Core, or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming, including scripting, API integration, data processing, and automation framework development.
  • Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs, web services, and third-party enterprise platforms.
  • Experience developing and maintaining web-based portals, dashboards, or self-service automation platforms using modern web development technologies.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git, including CI/CD practices for automation development.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps, or NetDevOps methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop scalable and reusable automation solutions.
