Job Description

The position will contribute to the development of scalable pricing frameworks and assumption methodologies that support long-term growth and profitability. The incumbent will be responsible for enhancing rate setting and reinsurance pricing, particularly for flow annuity products, while helping shape pricing execution across the organization. The role offers strong visibility and the opportunity to influence key actuarial decisions in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Perform and communicate complex actuarial analyses related to annuity pricing and modeling.
• Lead rate setting and pricing for flow annuity products, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
• Support initial assessment of M&A and strategic growth initiatives.
• Prepare and present actuarial exhibits and summaries to senior leadership, consultants, reinsurers, and regulators.
• Ensure documentation and execution of actuarial analyses align with the SOA Code of Professional Conduct and Actuarial Standards of Practice.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior actuarial staff.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Six to eight years of experience.
• Supervisory/management experience not applicable.
• Additional Qualifications:
◦ Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field with a strong quantitative foundation.
◦ Fellowship/Associateship designation (FSA/ASA or equivalent)
◦ Demonstrated proficiency in applying actuarial principles and standards.
◦ 5-10 years’ experience in an actuarial (or related) role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong experience in rate setting and reinsurance pricing for annuity products.
• Experience with retail annuity and PRT products in US, UK and APAC regions is considered an asset.
• A professional, positive attitude and capable of contributing to a dynamic and team-oriented culture.
• High level of proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel and outstanding financial modeling skills.
• Judgement, critical thinking and strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with attention to detail and thoroughness, with the ability to assess complex situations and make effective recommendations.
• Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to operate independently and willingness to own and improve processes.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of working with individuals across various levels and backgrounds.
• Organizational skills to effectively manage priorities, multi-task where necessary, work well under pressure and meet timelines and the ability to deal professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Interest in continuous improvement of processes and outputs.
• Demonstrates a commitment to shared success above personal accomplishment or recognition.
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
