The Association of Former Students engages and inspires the Aggie Network for Texas A&M University in perpetuating the Aggie Spirit. Through our Annual Fund, as well as other revenue streams, we provide scholarships, endowments, emergency student loans, and awards for faculty. Our newest colleague will join our highly motivated Development team members in advancing our mission by providing support and assistance with Annual Giving projects.

THE ROLE
The Annual Giving Student Assistant communicates regularly with donors and constituents, schedules various fundraising and stewardship initiatives, and works with colleagues to create fundraising materials such as brochures, web pages and correspondence.

EDUCATION & TRAINING
Required: Currently enrolled at Texas A&M University (College Station) with a minimum of one semester completed.
Preferred: Same as above, with two or more years remaining as a Texas A&M student.

The Association of Former Students traces its origin to the Ex-Cadets Association formed in 1879 and later to the A&M Alumni Association and Alpha Phi Fraternity. In 1919, a coalition was formed and adopted the name "The Association of Former Students." Since 1879 much has changed in organization and details, but the fundamental objectives of The Association remain the same.
