Casting Associate Job Description

*Casting Experience Preferred - This role is performed in a high‑heat environment typical of metal casting operations.

The duties of a Casting Associate include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining a safe and productive work environment
  • Assembling or manufacturing units in a production environment
  • Follow standard operating procedures and problem-solving safety, quality, cost and/ or delivery items

Physical Requirements & Work Expectations

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the majority of the shift
  • Capability to safely lift, carry, and move materials within standard job weight ranges, with or without assistance

Repetitive Work & Stamina

  • Perform repetitive tasks consistently while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
  • Sustain a steady work pace throughout the full shift, including overtime when required

Posture & Movement

  • Ability to bend, reach, twist, and work at or above shoulder height
  • Comfortable working in varying positions throughout the shift, including standing and occasional crouching

Tools & Equipment

  • Use hand tools and/or power tools in a production or similar environment
  • Maintain grip strength and coordination to safely operate tools and equipment

Work Environment

  • Work effectively in environments with noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Quality & Safety

  • Follow standardized work instructions to meet quality standards
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety while performing repetitive and/or physically demanding task

Problem Solving & Communication

  • Identify and report safety concerns or operational issues promptly
  • The ability to communicate effectively orally and/or in writing in the role and to understand oral and written instructions and directives regarding work matters in the language in which we conduct business (generally English).

Requirements:

  • Maintain 99% attendance
  • Available to work overtime on weekdays/weekends as needed
  • Must have 12 months of manufacturing experience within the last 5 years

Pay: Starting at $26.41 per hour plus shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift $1.10 per hour
