The Role
As a VFX Animator you will work closely with the Lead Animator and the Animation Supervisor to bring 3D characters and objects to life on a variety of high-end VFX and CG projects.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with the team to produce high-quality animation that drives forward scenes that match the style and pacing of the project.
Applying your understanding of weight, movement, the animation fundamentals to a variety of shots.
Communicating regularly with rigging and pipeline to discuss improvements such as character set-up, tools and rigs.
Attending dailies and managing constructive feedback.
Taking ownership of your workload from the start of a project through to the deadline.
Delivering previs and presenting animation in an outstanding manner.
Regularly liaising with production and lead regarding the schedules and deadlines.
Communicating your thoughts and ideas clearly in a professional and positive manner.
Continuously learning to develop your animation skills, as well as developing your technical skills to increase your efficiency as well as that of your teammates.
Salary range: $85,000 - $135,000 CAD annually, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
We do not use Artificial Intelligence or automated systems to screen, sort, or rank applicants for this position. We sometimes use AI for note taking in an interview setting.
