An Animal ShelterSupervisor position is available with the City of Fort Worth Code Compliance, Division of Animal Care and Control at Henry’s Shelter. This position will focus on assisting the shelter’s animal fostering program, transfer (local and out of state) partner network, events team, and volunteer program. Our Animal Care and Control department has hundreds of dedicated volunteers, fosters and partners who help the staff and animals with various tasks. Our foster, volunteer and transfer programs continue to grow, and we are seeking an individual who can help us continue to strengthen and expand these programs.
The selected individual must be an effective communicator who is able to demonstrate diplomacy, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills while working with a culturally and ethnically diverse staff, volunteer, and community base.

When assigned to Animal Care & Control: Medium work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
