Te Tūranga | About the role
This is a 6 month fixed-term opportunity to support the Animal Services team during a busy period as they prepare for and move through a system transition from Ozone to SAP.
We’re looking for someone who can quickly step in and provide accurate, high-volume administration and systems support. You’ll help maintain momentum during the transition so the team can continue delivering regulatory and animal welfare services to the Tauranga community.
You’ll process animal registrations, update records, support case management, prepare correspondence and work closely with Animal Services Officers and other internal teams. This role will suit someone who enjoys structure, accuracy and helping others through change.
Some case information can be sensitive or confronting, including matters involving animal euthanasia. You’ll need to work with these details professionally, while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy and care.
Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed
Our ideal candidate will bring experience working with council systems and processes, but we’re also open to someone with strong administration and systems skills who can learn quickly and confidently step into a busy operational environment.
If you’re a confident systems user with strong administration experience and a calm, practical approach, we’d still encourage you to apply.
