St. Joseph Healthcare, a member of Covenant Health, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join our collaborative anesthesia team in Bangor, Maine. This unique afternoon/evening opportunity is ideal for physicians who enjoy a predictable schedule, low overnight case volume, and practicing in a supportive community hospital environment.

Schedule Highlights

• Full-time (1.0 FTE)
• Consistent afternoon/evening schedule
• Home call approximately 24 weeks per year
• Only 12 weekends annually
• Most overnight call periods require no return to the hospital

This schedule offers physicians the flexibility to enjoy mornings with family, outdoor recreation, or personal interests while maintaining a rewarding full-time practice.

Practice Highlights

Our anesthesia team supports a well-established community hospital providing care in:

• General Surgery
• Orthopedic Surgery
• Endoscopy

Because we do not provide obstetrical services or function as a trauma center, physicians enjoy a focused case mix with predictable clinical responsibilities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Eligible for Maine medical licensure
