Anesthesiologist opportunity at our new site, Gulf Coast Medical Center in beautiful Ft. Myers, Florida – Full Time, Non-Call Taking. As the largest hospital in the Lee Health system, Gulf Coast Medical Center houses the only Level II Trauma Center between Bradenton and Miami, a Neuroscience Institute, orthopedic, oncology and cardiology services, and much more. Gulf Coast is a 624-bed hospital with 22 Operating Rooms An accredited, comprehensive stroke center features minimally invasive catheter procedures to treat stroke patients. Our group’s annual anesthesia volume is nearly 20,000 cases, and we work together in a care team model. Our care team model means that we focus on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence.

Responsibilities
• Case assignments: General, Endo, Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, GYN, Urology, Radiology, ENT
• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements
• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a Physician

Salary: $430K
Sign On Bonus: $50K
