Job Description

VCA Aurora Animal Hospital is growing its team and seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to work closely with our Anesthesiologist!

Schedule:Full-time, 4 x 10 hour shifts.

Compensation:$ 30 - $ 36 / hr, and the starting range is determined by license, skill set, and years of experience in the field.

In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring safe and effective anesthesia care for our patients, supporting complex procedures, and contributing to a collaborative medical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Anesthesiologist with patient preparation, induction, monitoring, and recovery.

  • Monitor vital signs, anesthesia depth, and overall patient status during procedures.

  • Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and medications according to hospital protocols.

  • Support surgical and specialty teams as needed.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and anesthesia logs.

  • Provide compassionate care to patients and clear communication to clients regarding anesthesia procedures.

  • Follow strict safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT)

  • Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • 2+ years of anesthesia experience.
