We’re searching for an Anesthesia Technician Team Leader, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll be responsible for the coordination of clinical and clerical functions of all anesthetizing locations at our main campus and provide training and functions as a technician in a responsive and proactive manner.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Assists anesthesiologist with preparation and placement of brain and nerve function monitors
Assists anesthesiologist during cases inside and outside the operating room
Prepares age-appropriate anesthesia equipment, monitors, and airway
Sets up, maintains and transports specialty devices used in the clinical area
Assist provider with transporting patients to and from anesthetizing location
Supervises the maintenance of anesthesia equipment
Acts as a department project leader, committee leader or specialty team leader
Participates in the development of information, programs, or projects for the division
May set up and troubleshoot the intra-aortic balloon pump per Departmental guidelines, if required
Ensures all staff are trained on all anesthesia equipment, troubleshooting and setup
Serves as a mentor/preceptor and completes preceptor training
Identifies performance improvement activities and facilitates projects to carry out improvement initiatives
Attends institutional and departmental health, safety, and infection control in-services by established deadlines

Skills & Requirements
CER-A-T - Cert-Cert Anesthesia TECH by American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)
Completion of an anesthesia technician training program approved by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)
Associate’s degree in applied science in a healthcare field with 7 years of experience
