Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)

The Anesthesiology department has an exciting opportunity for an Anesthesiology Technician to assist the Anesthesiologist with administration and monitoring of anesthesia in a variety of settings. The technician provides support for surgical/procedural cases by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery system before, during, and after anesthesia care. He/she will obtain required blood specimens, insertion of lines and other monitoring devices.

Requirements:

· 2 years current Anesthesia /Operating Room experience preferred

· Knowledge of setting up all anesthesia / monitoring equipment preferred

· Experience in multi -specialty OR/L&D/endocarp and other anesthetizing locations throughout the hospital preferred

· Ability to lift 40 lbs Required.

· Able to work well independently and as part of the Anesthesia / Operating Room team.

· Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

· Computer knowledge preferred

· High School diploma required

· Familiar with the basics of sterile techniques to utilize appropriate precautions when providing care to patients in isolation as well as control of environmental contamination. Maintains universal precautions in all patient care activities required.

· Knowledge of proper body mechanics and demonstrates ability to handle crisis situations in a prompt, calm, professional manner

-Basic life support (BLS) card or obtain in 6 months of hire.
-Certified ASATT or certified eligible Anesthesia Technician required.
-Experience Anesthesia Technician preferred

per diem, various hours

Salary Range: $27.366/hr - $28.762/hr
