Android Developer (Kotlin & Jetpack Compose)

Location: Amsterdam

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a highly skilled Android Developer with strong expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose to join our team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable, high-performance Android applications and working within Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• 
  Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Designers, QA, and Backend Developers
• 
  Implement modern Android architectures such as MVVM or MVI
• 
  Develop modular, maintainable, and scalable mobile application components
• 
  Integrate RESTful APIs and manage networking layers efficiently
• 
  Write clean, testable, and reusable code following industry best practices
• 
  Create and maintain unit tests and UI tests to ensure application quality
• 
  Work with Firebase services and products for analytics, notifications, and app monitoring
• 
  Participate in CI/CD pipeline implementation and release management processes
• 
  Contribute actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• 
  Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
• 
  Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong collaboration with the team

Required Skills & Experience

• 
  6–8 years of experience in Android application development
• 
  Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• 
  Hands-on experience with Android architectural patterns such as MVVM or MVI
• 
  Solid understanding of networking concepts and application modularization
• 
  Experience writing unit tests and UI tests
• 
  Hands-on experience with Koin dependency injection framework
• 
  Experience working with Firebase products
• 
  Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices
• 
  Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• 
  Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently
• 
  Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  Experience working on enterprise-scale mobile applications
• 
  Understanding of modern mobile security and performance optimization techniques
• 
  Familiarity with clean architecture principles and best coding practices
