Android Application Developer (UI/UX Focus)

We are seeking a talented Android Application Developer with a strong focus on designing and implementing engaging, intuitive, and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces. You will collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to create Android apps that deliver exceptional user experiences, ensuring seamless interaction between functionality and design.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications with a primary focus on UI/UX.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate design wireframes, mockups, and prototypes into high-quality, responsive app interfaces.
• Implement material design principles and ensure consistent branding and style.
• Optimize UI components for performance, scalability, and responsiveness across various Android devices.
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine app interfaces and enhance user experience.
• Stay updated on Android development trends, new libraries, and UI/UX practices.
• Debug, test, and improve the visual design and overall functionality of the app.
• Maintain clean, reusable, and efficient codebase following best practices.

Requirements

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin for Android development.
• Hands-on experience with Android UI frameworks (e.g., Jetpack Compose, XML-based layouts).
• Familiarity with Material Design Guidelines and implementing material components.
• Experience with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integrating backend services with UI components.
• Proficient in handling various screen sizes, densities, and device configurations.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for crafting beautiful, user-friendly interfaces.
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on user-centric design.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Jetpack Compose for modern declarative UI development.
• Familiarity with animation libraries/frameworks for creating smooth interactions.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) for inclusive design.
• Published Android applications on Google Play Store (share portfolio or examples).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Trello, or similar.
