Job Description

The Revenue Management and Pricing department at Icelandair plays a key role in maximizing the airline’s profitability across its global network. Our team consists of dedicated and commercially minded professionals who develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue performance across fares and ancillary products.

We are now seeking an Ancillary Pricing and Revenue Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will analyze performance, identify commercial opportunities, and help shape the future of ancillary pricing through dynamic pricing, product bundles, and targeted upselling. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the organization to optimize existing products and support the development, testing, and launch of new ancillary offerings.

This is a dynamic and highly analytical role in one of the fastest-growing areas of the airline business. It is well suited for a commercially minded individual who is curious about customer behavior and enjoys turning complex data into clear insights and practical recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze ancillary performance to uncover trends, customer insights, and revenue opportunities.
  • Price ancillary products and bundles, using dynamic pricing and upselling
  • Turn data into clear pricing recommendations
  • Use customer behavior and segmentation data to create targeted offers.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
  • Help develop, test, launch, and review new ancillary products.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and vendors to deliver results.
  • Contribute to ancillary budgets and forecasts and track performance against targets.
  • Share insights and recommendations with leadership and key stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A university degree fit for purpose (e.g. in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Aviation Management)
  • Experience in a commercial analytics role, preferably within the airline, travel, or e-commerce industry.
  • Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or other business intelligence and data visualization tool is preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience of using AI solutions for analysis, such as Claude or Copilot is preferred.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.
  • Well-developed prioritization and time-planning skills.
  • Fluent English, both written and verbal.
