Anaplan Model Builder

The Supply Data & Analytics team is a growing and ambitious team that is responsible for realizing the Analytics Roadmap of Supply. This is a young and dynamic team with the goal to leverage the Vanderlande data platform to solve a wide variety of business problems within the Supply domain. Among the various Analytics solutions that the team delivers is Anaplan, the new Sales & Operations Planning Platform. In order to further scale-up Anaplan in Vanderlande, we are looking for an Anaplan Model Builder to join our team!

In this full-time position you will be responsible for requirement gathering, documenting user stories, to design, develop, test, and implement Anaplan models for Vanderlande Industries. You are a skilled Anaplan Model Builder with extensive expertiseand a deep understanding of business challenges, especially in the area ofSales & Operations Planning, but more specifically in the area of Supply Chain Planning. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, a strong grasp of supply chain, financial and operational planning and the ability to construct scalable and efficient models in Anaplan. More importantly, you are excellent in stakeholder management, translating business needs seamlessly into functional and technical requirements

Responsibilities

  • Collaborative stakeholder engagement engage with cross-functional teams (ranging from business to IT), understand their requirements and align Anaplan models with business needs. Effectively communicate and manage expectations for successful delivery.Partner with cross functional teams to understand existing Excel models and translate them into efficiently built, dynamic connected Anaplan models where information can be shared across the organization.

  • Model design and development collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design robust Anaplan models and establish data relationships, hierarchies, and dimensions. Lead Anaplan projects by collaborating with the S&OP team to develop user stories, converting user stories into achievable sprints, and document Anaplan builds. In a later phase, partner with other business units (e.g. Finance, Operations) to design, develop, test, and implement Anaplan solutions. Leverage business process knowledge and expertise in the Anaplan area to drive business process improvements

  • Model optimization continuously enhance the Supply Planning Anaplan model, improving performance, scalability and efficiency. Streamline processes, automate calculations and adhere to best practices.

  • Data integrationintegrate diverse data sources into Anaplan models, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity through data extraction and transformation.

  • Complex model building develop intricate calculations, formulas, and logic in Anaplan models, supporting supply, financial, sales and operations planning, more specifically: planning, forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.

  • Testing and quality assurance Thoroughly test and validate Anaplan models, ensuring accurate data and resolving any inconsistencies or issues.Proactively evaluate the user experience and system functionality / performance. Identify and document problems uncovered by testing or user feedback, and facilitate correction or refer problems to appropriate personnel for correction.

  • Documentation management create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Anaplan models, including design, mappings, formulas, assumptions and business rules.

  • User training and support provide training, support and user guides to maximize Anaplan model usability. Address user queries and issues promptly.

  • Continuous learning stay updated on new Anaplan features, functionalities, and best practices, expanding knowledge and improving model building skillsCrosstrain across the S&OP team to learn about all aspects of our unique and successful business model.

  • Product ownership understand the technical design, system administration, security, and business management of the Anaplan models, and linkage to other systems and initiatives. Ensure upstream and downstream impacts and dependencies are well understood and communicated to appropriate stakeholders and incorporated into overall project plans

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a university or equivalent preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining complex Anaplan models, preferably in the area of Sales & Operations Planning (e.g.Rough Cut Capacity Planning, Material Forecasting)

  • Certified Master Anaplannerand familiarity with Anaplan modelling best practices

  • Experience with Financial Planning & Analysis modeling, and Anaplan Apps (IBP) is a plus

  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into Anaplan models.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights

  • Understanding of Sales & Operations Planning processes, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and scenario analysis.

  • Excellent project management skills. Ability to prioritize short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives while maintaining accuracy, data integrity, and hitting deadlines

  • Fluent written and spoken English

  • Excellent communication skills to deal with business stakeholders as well as colleagues from IT and Data & Analytics
