Job Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced Anaplan Business Intelligence Engineer II (BIE II) for a role in the Global Finance Solutions (GFS) organization to support Anaplan model building for workforce capacity planning for our GREF Finance stakeholders. This role has high visibility within the organization and will require the candidate to partner with the GREF Finance stakeholders which are present across the globe. The candidate should have a good understanding of AP/AR processes and should be able to develop forecast models to support headcount needs to deliver world class service performance.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate strategic thinking, strong ownership, and excellence in cross-functional collaboration, while maintaining superior attention to detail and effectively managing multiple priorities. Technical expertise required includes proficiency in Anaplan model designing, SQL, API’s and experience with reporting tools such as Cognos, Amazon QuickSight, Tableau etc. Additionally, the candidate should possess working knowledge of databases and data structures, in order to collaborate with DE/BIE teams. Key job responsibilities
- Develop and improve forecasting models using data collection, data analysis and statistical tools
- Create optimal capacity plan for Finance Operations business by managing trade-offs between Customer Experience and Cost Effectiveness.
- Coordinate with Operations and Finance teams to analyze historical data and demand forecasts and build out headcount planning models for future growth.
- Mitigate capacity risks by managing dependencies across multiple operational teams and sites
- Capacity planning for new business/sites
- Clearly communicate dependencies and manage/track exceptions with Senior Management.
- SQL and dashboard development (Quick Suite/ Tableau) is essential skill for success in this role.
- Knowledge of scripting language e.g. python is preferred.
- Manage the daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of capacity performance in each site via Key Performance Indicators.
- Support local site management and workflow teams to optimize staffing requirements.
- Project management skills are required for success in this role.

Basic Qualifications


- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Certification in Anaplan Model builder
