In this role, you will own the end-to-end measurement strategy and instrumentation quality for key web and native mobile initiatives, enabling teams to make confident decisions from trustworthy behavioral data. You will partner with marketing, product, engineering, and analytics to define meaningful success metrics, translate goals into precise measurement specifications, and ensure tracking is implemented, validated, and governed to a high standard.

As an Analytics Instrumentation Manager on the Digital Data Owner Team, you will lead tagging and advertising measurement implementation across channels, validate releases, troubleshoot issues quickly, and help ensure event data becomes analytically usable datasets that answer critical business questions. You will balance multiple priorities while protecting reporting integrity from collection through downstream analytics.

Job responsibilities

  • Translate business objectives into measurement strategies and detailed tagging specifications, including clear acceptance criteria
  • Partner with marketing, product, engineering, and analytics to deliver customer-focused measurement outcomes
  • Define and align behavioral success metrics, KPIs, and engagement metrics for web and native mobile experiences
  • Review product and development requirements to identify tagging, analytics, and measurement gaps early in delivery
  • Collaborate with behavioral analysis and data teams to ensure event data is transformed into analytically accessible datasets
  • Prioritize instrumentation enhancements and defects across a portfolio of concurrent initiatives
  • Validate releases and fixes to confirm accurate tracking, clean reporting outputs, and stable KPI definitions
  • Document and maintain governance standards, event schemas, and data layer requirements for new functionality
  • Troubleshoot tracking issues and implement timely configuration changes to protect reporting integrity
  • Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and issues to digital analytics leadership

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years in business analysis, digital analytics, measurement, or instrumentation roles
  • 3+ years working in an agile delivery environment (user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog management)
  • Experience in financial services (or similarly regulated) environments, with a strong focus on data integrity and controls
  • Experience with behavioral/clickstream data using Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics 360
  • Experience validating analytics tags on web and native mobile applications using common debugging/validation approaches
  • Experience delivering web analytics or tag management projects end-to-end (requirements through implementation and QA)
  • Experience supporting high-volume commerce and/or self-service digital experiences
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards
  • Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder partnership skills
  • Ability to synthesize ambiguous inputs into clear specifications and actionable recommendations

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • SQL and data analysis using Python
  • Knowledge of ecommerce models and optimization/testing measurement methods
  • Experience defining measurement strategies for digital campaigns across channels and aligning to product outcomes
  • Experience partnering with engineering teams to implement event schemas, data layer standards, and tracking governance at scale
  • Experience aligning behavioral data with attitudinal and structured data to answer business questions
  • Experience creating and maintaining tracking documentation, standards, and change management processes across teams
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with high expectations and limited supervision
