We're looking for an Analytics Product Owner to bridge the gap between business and technology, driving the delivery and adoption of enterprise analytics capabilities that enable teams across the business to unlock the full value of data.

About the Role

Reporting to the Analytics Engagement Manager, you'll work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers and data scientists to translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions. You'll champion governed self-service analytics, enhance data and AI literacy across the organisation, and ensure our analytics products deliver measurable business value.

This is a highly collaborative role where you'll influence strategy, prioritise delivery and help shape the future of analytics at Cleanaway.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to turn strategic priorities into analytics capabilities and product roadmaps.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, user journeys and process improvements.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for analytics products and self-service capabilities.
  • Lead funded initiatives from concept to delivery, managing scope, budget, timelines and outcomes.
  • Partner with engineering teams to prioritise user stories, refine backlogs and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Design business-friendly semantic models and governed self-service reporting frameworks.
  • Champion data governance, trusted data and analytics adoption across the organisation.
  • Build data literacy and support the responsible use of AI to improve decision-making..

About You

You'll be a commercially minded analytics professional who enjoys solving complex business problems and translating them into practical data solutions.

You'll bring:

  • Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or Analytics Consultant in a data and analytics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of business intelligence, data warehousing, semantic modelling and reporting solutions.
  • Proven ability to translate strategic business needs into clear requirements, user stories and technical deliverables.
  • Experience partnering with data engineering, governance and delivery teams.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience designing self-service analytics solutions and delivering data literacy or analytics enablement programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly with operational and financial data.
  • Understanding of human-centred design and UI/UX principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Significant experience with developing and delivering Microsoft Power BI solutions.
