Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Analytics Product Manager is the primary connection between EDAA and assigned business domains. This position owns the business relationship, translates domain problems into analytics products and processes, and stays engaged from problem definition through daily operations to ensure delivered solutions create measurable business value.

Key Accountabilities

  • Business partnership and domain ownership: serve as the dedicated data partner for assigned business or data domains, build ongoing stakeholder relationships, understand domain processes and priorities, and anticipate domain analytics needs
  • Intake, translation, and prioritization: receive and shape analytics product requests, translate business needs into actionable scope, prioritize work based on complexity, value, and risk, and place work on the product roadmap.
  • Delivery and value ownership: own delivery outcomes, quantify value created, track adoption and feedback, support continuous improvement, and ensure product issues have defined resolution steps and runbooks.
  • Pod leadership: lead a cross-functional, domain-aligned pod consisting of roles such as analytics engineers, data scientists, data engineers, and data architects as needed, coordinating work through influence rather than formal authority.
  • Governance participation: ensure delivered data products comply with governance standards, surface definition conflicts, ownership gaps, or quality issues, and provide domain context to governance processes.
  • Portfolio and operating rhythm participation: participate in backlog grooming, portfolio reviews, sprint demos, and business touchpoints to maintain roadmap alignment and visibility.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications/Education Required

  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to lead through influence without formal authority.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, competing priorities, and stakeholders who disagree.
  • Working knowledge of data modeling, pipelines, semantic layers, BI tools, and data quality.
  • Ability to read and understand SQL at minimum.
  • Understanding of data governance concepts including definitions, ownership, lineage, and certification.
  • Direct experience working in or closely with Pattern business domains such as Operations, Finance, Trading, Development, Asset Management, Corporate, or Market Fundamentals.
  • Experience managing a product backlog or project portfolio.
  • Familiarity with agile delivery practices such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Experience working with engineering teams to deliver data products, analytics, or BI solutions.
  • Track record of owning outcomes and demonstrating impact.

Preferred experience includes:

  • Familiarity with Databricks, Azure, and Power BI.
  • Energy industry experience.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or PDCA.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or similar delivery tools.
  • Exposure to data mesh or federated analytics operating models.
  • Prior experience as an Analytics Product Manager, Product Owner, or Business Analyst in a data-heavy organization.

The expected starting pay range for this role is $111,000 - $138,000 USD.
