Job Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Strategy

• Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and specialists to deliver impactful insights.

• Define analytics roadmap aligned with business priorities and transformation objectives.

• Champion data-driven culture and best practices across the organization.

2. Project Management

• Manage end-to-end delivery of data projects, including scoping, planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.

• Ensure timely delivery of dashboards, reports, and advanced analytics solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Technology, business units, Risk and Compliance) to ensure data integrity and security.

3. Analytics & Insights

• Translate business requirements into analytical models and actionable insights.

• Develop and maintain KPIs, performance dashboards, and predictive models.

• Provide recommendations to optimize processes, improve customer experience, and drive revenue growth.

• Identify, design, and implement enhancements for internal process related to data (e.g., optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability) to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.

• Performs data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and support the resolution of raised data issues.

• Support UOBV in adopting and/or migrating to new production environment, if needed.

4. Governance & Quality

• Implement data governance standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Monitor data quality and accuracy across all analytics outputs.

5. Tools & Technology

• Oversee adoption and optimization of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and data platforms.

• Stay updated on emerging analytics technologies and methodologies.

Other tasks as assigned by PMO and Transformation Head from time to time

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics etc.

• The role is expected to have 5 - 7 years of experience working in technology and/or data analytics space, preferably 2 - 3 years of experience working in with advanced analytical models/tools/applications (e.g., machine learning, data-lake) in banking areas.

• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and people management.

• Prior experience working on large-scale analytics projects (e.g. Data Lake)

• Comfortable working with structured and unstructured data and distributed databases. Familiar with best practice development and validation standards

• Basic understanding and knowledge of banking, risk management, regulatory recommendations and industry standards related to AML/AFC/compliance risks. Experience in or familiarity with analytics related to AML/AFC/Compliance risks are advantages.

• Ability to clearly communicate complex results in an easy-to-understand manner and tailoring them to different audiences.

• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

• R and / or Python, with practical knowledge of data wrangling and machine learning libraries (e.g., Pandas, Keras, TensorFlow, Sklearn)

• Experience in data engineering tools, schema design, dimensional data modelling, robotic process, natural language processing and network link analysis

• Ability to create and maintain production ready data pipeline and deployment pipeline.

• Strong people skills and take a big picture approach to planning.

• Strong communication skills to interact with data scientists, business end-users, and possibly external vendors to design and develop data solutions.
