Within the Scent Technology & Innovation (ST&I) organization, the Analytical function plays a critical role in generating competitive intelligence and supporting Body Care innovation on a global scale. As Analytical Technical Manager - Body Care, you will lead the development of analytical capabilities and insights that help shape category strategies, strengthen IFF’s competitive position, and support business growth.

Combining scientific expertise, team leadership, and strategic collaboration, you will drive analytical excellence while enabling the organization to address increasingly complex product systems and emerging market opportunities.

The role is based in our Scent Creative Center in Neuilly-sur-Seine (France)

Where You’ll Make a Difference

Global Competitive Intelligence Leadership – Body Care

• Serve as the global analytical leader for competitive intelligence within the Body Care category.
• Define and implement governance frameworks to effectively support global business needs.
• Lead a team responsible for delivering high-quality Consumer Product Analysis (CPA) projects.
• Generate actionable insights that support category strategies and inspire creative development.
• Partner closely with the category organization to monitor market trends and competitive activities.
• Integrate intellectual property considerations into insight generation and strategic recommendations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Capability Development

• Collaborate with analytical leaders across IC&D and R&D organizations worldwide.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of global analytical capabilities.
• Develop analytical tools and software solutions aligned with evolving business needs.
• Harmonize analytical methods across regions to ensure consistency, robustness, and best-practice sharing.
• Advance existing methodologies to address increasingly complex product systems and analytical challenges.

Analytical Infrastructure & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain and expand analytical equipment capabilities at both local and global levels.
• Ensure the reliability, responsiveness, and effectiveness of analytical infrastructure in support of business priorities.
• Partner with external suppliers and laboratories to broaden analytical capabilities where needed.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge analytical technologies and techniques.

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Master’s degree or PhD in Analytical Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Significant experience in analytical sciences applied to fragrances and complex formulations such as Body Care or Personal Care products.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in team leadership and global project coordination.
• Strong understanding of innovation-driven and technical development environments.
