Title: Analytical Technical Lead – External Manufacturing & Tolling

Location: Stine Office, Delaware

Business/Function Overview

The Analytical Technical Lead – External Manufacturing & Tolling provides analytical leadership and technical support for FMC's North American external manufacturing network. The position serves as the primary analytical expert supporting toll manufacturing partners, external laboratories, Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Development teams to ensure reliable analytical methods, effective quality investigations, and consistent product quality.
The role focuses on analytical problem solving, method implementation, technical troubleshooting, analytical capability development, and continuous improvement across the North American tolling network.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical leadership and support for FMC's North American toll manufacturing network.
  • Lead analytical investigations and troubleshooting of quality, manufacturing, and customer complaint issues.
  • Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of analytical methods at external manufacturing and laboratory partners.
  • Assess analytical capabilities, identify gaps and risks, and drive improvement of compliance and performance across the tolling network.
  • Partner across Quality, Product Development, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to address analytical and product quality challenges.
  • Support audits, technology transfers, qualification activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive adoption of FMC analytical standards and best practices.
  • Act as the regional analytical subject matter expert for external manufacturing and tolling operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in analytical chemistry, quality, laboratory operations, or manufacturing support.
  • Experience with analytical method development, validation, transfer, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting customer complaints, manufacturing investigations, or product quality issue resolution.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with external manufacturing partners, contract laboratories, or tolling operations preferred.
  • Ability to influence and solve technical problems across functions and organizations.
  • Strong technical problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Language skills

  • English – Fluent (mandatory)
  • Other languages – beneficial
