
As an Analyst within Scout’s M&A Group, you will be responsible for supporting the origination, evaluation, negotiation, and closing of acquisitions of utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects to supplement Scout’s ambitious deployment targets. Your ability to evaluate prospective development teams and projects, on both a quantitative and qualitative basis, will be the mark of success in this role. You will support the due diligence process and valuations for acquisitions and potential sales of utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects.
You will manage the data room, conduct key analyses on your own, coordinate third-party review where appropriate, and develop and run financial models. While the bulk of your work will focus on project-level deals, you will also analyze development platforms from time to time. Your strategic engagement of the Development team will enable them to focus their energy on greenfield and mid to late-stage development while providing critical insights into the due diligence process.

You will join the M&A team, reporting directly to the Associate Director of M&A. You will collaborate extensively with team members across the company as Scout continues to grow through both organic and strategic acquisition opportunities to bring high quality wind, solar and storage projects into our pipeline for development. This is an entry level position in which you will receive both formal and on the job training.
Your interest in negotiation will enable you to support our M&A team during deal negotiation of commercial structures and finance and close. In addition, you will conduct research to support our project identification and negotiation efforts.

Target base salary: $75,000 - $120,000. Compensation is based on years of relevant experience.
