MUFG is seeking an Electronic Foreign Exchange Client Services Specialist to join its London-based team, supporting the advancement and expansion of its electronic foreign exchange business throughout EMEA. This position affords you the privilege of engaging with regional and international stakeholders, delivering dependable client service, facilitating electronic trading activities, analysing client performance metrics, and orchestrating business initiatives. You will be immersed in a highly collaborative environment where your dedication to exemplary service and your capacity for cultivating robust relationships are held in high regard. The organisation is celebrated for its inclusive ethos, supportive leadership, and unwavering commitment to professional development, offering flexible working arrangements and access to comprehensive training resources. Should you possess a genuine interest in financial markets and flourish within a communal setting that values teamwork and knowledge sharing, this opportunity is ideally suited to you.

  • Become part of a globally renowned financial institution recognised for nurturing talent and fostering professional advancement through extensive training programmes and flexible working policies.
  • Engage in a highly collaborative environment where your interpersonal acumen and commitment to client satisfaction are acknowledged and rewarded, with opportunities to connect with colleagues across EMEA and internationally.
  • Contribute to the forefront of electronic foreign exchange progression by supporting clients, analysing performance data, and participating in business initiatives that influence the future of digital trading.

What you'll do

As an Electronic Foreign Exchange Client Services Specialist based in London, you will serve as a cornerstone in supporting clients engaged in electronic trading activities across EMEA. Your daily undertakings will encompass responding promptly to client enquiries related to trading flows whilst maintaining thorough records of each interaction. You will collaborate extensively with various teams—sales professionals, trading desks, technology experts, operations staff—to resolve issues efficiently. By gathering feedback from clients and documenting service requirements or challenges encountered during onboarding or platform enablement processes, you will facilitate improvements in workflow efficiency as well as overall client experience. Regular attendance at meetings with clients enables you to represent the business with decorum while producing insightful management reports that inform strategic decision-making. Identifying patterns in recurring issues or control gaps allows you to propose actionable solutions that fortify operational resilience. For those appointed at Associate level or above within this role, additional responsibilities include guiding junior colleagues through complex scenarios without formal line-management duties but acting as a trusted escalation point. Success in this position necessitates a structured approach to problem-solving combined with exceptional communication skills so that all activities remain compliant with regulatory standards.

  • Provide prompt and meticulous support for electronic foreign exchange clients across EMEA, ensuring all enquiries and trading-flow concerns are addressed with precision and care.
  • Coordinate the investigation and resolution of client matters by collaborating with sales, trading, technology, operations, credit, and other pertinent stakeholders while appropriately escalating significant issues.
  • Maintain clear stewardship of client requests from inception through resolution, keeping comprehensive records and regularly updating stakeholders throughout each process.
  • Collect, document, and communicate client feedback as well as service issues and business requirements to relevant teams for ongoing improvement.
  • Assist with client onboarding processes including platform enablement, testing procedures, and post-implementation follow-up in partnership with control and operational functions.
  • Attend client meetings as required, representing the electronic foreign exchange business in a manner that prioritises professionalism and client needs.
  • Maintain accurate client performance data by preparing regular management information reports such as weekly and monthly summaries for internal review.
  • Identify recurring issues, control gaps, and opportunities for process enhancement; contribute actively to practical remediation plans that elevate service quality.
  • Support regional and global business initiatives by coordinating actions, timelines, and communications across multiple departments including sales, trading, product development, technology, and operations.
  • For Associate appointments: Assume responsibility for defined workstreams, provide guidance to junior colleagues, act as an escalation point for complex matters whilst ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, policies, procedures, controls, and the Global Code of Conduct.

What you bring:

To excel as an Electronic Foreign Exchange Client Services Specialist in London you will bring proven experience from financial markets environments where attention to detail under stringent deadlines was paramount. Your background may encompass roles in client services or trade support where handling sensitive information accurately was routine. You possess refined interpersonal skills enabling you to foster effective relationships across regional/global teams whilst maintaining professionalism even under pressure. Your analytical mindset allows you not only to interpret performance data but also communicate actionable insights clearly—whether through Excel spreadsheets or management reports. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing FX transactions ensures compliance at every stage whilst your organisational abilities help prioritise competing demands efficiently. If you have previously worked on onboarding clients onto digital platforms or supported front-office operations involving electronic workflows then your practical knowledge will be invaluable here. For those aspiring towards Associate level responsibilities within this role: experience managing workstreams independently plus guiding junior colleagues through complex situations without formal line-management authority distinguishes you.

  • A sound understanding of foreign exchange markets as well as electronic trading workflows including pricing mechanisms, execution strategies, and post-trade processes is indispensable for success in this role.
  • Advanced analytical capability is required so you can interpret client activity data effectively; proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, lookups, pivot tables) ensures accuracy when handling substantial datasets.
  • Experience investigating issues methodically while coordinating with both technical (IT/technology) and non-technical (operations/sales) stakeholders is vital for maintaining effective audit trails.
  • Demonstrable ability to handle detailed information accurately coupled with clear communication skills for updating progress on issue resolution is highly valued.
  • Experience coordinating projects or resolving issues across multiple stakeholders within deadline-driven environments such as financial markets or trade support roles is necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills allow you to elucidate complex matters clearly whether interacting with clients or senior internal stakeholders.
  • Client-focused attitude combined with responsiveness ensures delivery of high standards of service; being committed means consistently exceeding expectations for clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word supports your ability to produce professional documentation; Outlook expertise helps manage communications efficiently.
  • Preferred: Experience using data-analysis or visualisation tools like Tableau or Power BI enhances your ability to present findings; familiarity with Python or KDB/q is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Understanding application programming interfaces (APIs), electronic connectivity protocols (order/execution messages), FX trading platforms adds value especially if you have prior front-office support experience.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as MiFID II or Global Foreign Exchange Code demonstrates awareness of industry standards; basic understanding of artificial intelligence tools used for analysis/workflow efficiency is beneficial if governed appropriately.
  • University degree or equivalent professional qualification is required; preferred qualifications include finance/economics/business/mathematics/technology/data analysis disciplines.

We are open to considering flexible working requests in line with organisational requirements.
