Job Description

Market Research

• Deal screening: review proposals, attend calls and highlight high-potential start-ups
• Documentation: take detailed notes and document all communication with start-ups in CRM
• Reports: research and build strategic reports around sectors of interest to HBL

Due Diligence

• Help HBL VC Team in coordinating with the external/internal stakeholders during due diligence
• Research and talk to existing references and customers of the target company
• Research and analyze potential competitors to the target company
• Conduct background checks on the current management and investors of the target company
• Participate and contribute to target company valuation exercises.
• Help prepare internal investment memos and closing documents

Portfolio and Project Management

• Co-ordinate and facilitate strategic projects with portfolio companies
• Maintain an accurate and accessible management dashboard, deal pipeline and CRM.
• Help build reports on portfolio company performance for senior management.

Fund Governance and Reporting

• Research and identify any political, regulatory, technology and reputational risks
• Help maintain repository related to contracts, deals finalized and other associated documents
• Help prepare financial and non-financial reports for relevant stakeholders.

Minimum educational qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Mathematics, or related discipline.

Minimum experience:

• 2 years of professional experience, preferably in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Investment Banking or Management Consulting.

Other Skills & Competence:

• Strong communication skills.
